Prices

Course – Italian Language and Culture

• 2 weeks € 650;
• 3 weeks € 800;
• 4 weeks € 900;

Course includes of:

• Accommodation in twin, triple or four person rooms located at the new premises of the BlueSea School in Veglie in via Giovanni XXIII or in other premises chosen by the school’s management;
• 20 lessons per week of 50 minutes a lesson;
• Cocktails on arrival;
• A final dinner with the school and the presentation of the certificates of attendance;
• A placement test;
• Weekly cleaning service of rooms with a weekly change of bed sheets;
• Cleaning service of shared spaces ( bathroom, kitchen, living area, etc.) every second day;
• Afternoon lessons on request; secretarial assistance for flights, trains, etc...
• A weekly tour of Salento or Puglia;
• Free internet connection;
• Use of the schools bicycles when available;

ATTENTION:The prices include the accommodation in apartments only provided by the Bluesea School.

Any other form of accommodation requested by the clients (for example: hotel, residence or any other) will be paid separately by the client and will not alter the prices already determined for the course of Italian. Enrolment to a course has to be done at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the course with the sending of the application form and payment in full.

In addition, the Bluesea School, at the moment of arrival or departure, can guarantee, on request, a shuttle transfer service from the Lecce train station and/or from Brindisi airport at the following costs:

• Transfer from and to Lecce per person: € 15.00;
• Transfer from and to Brindisi per person: € 35.00.

Extra curricula activities

During the course, all the students have the possibility to visit and get to know the most important centres in the area of great historical and artistic interest. The standard programme of our excursions in Salento and in Puglia are as illustrated below:First Week• A guided tour of the Historic Centre of Lecce;Second Week• A guided tour of the Zinzulusa caves of Castro and the Historic Centre of Otranto;• A guided tour of Ostuni and AlberobelloThird Week• A guided tour of the Historic Centre of Gallipoli;• A guided tour of the Historic Centre of GalatinaFourth Week• An excursion along the Ionic coastline to the natural park of Porto Selvaggio;• An excursion along the Adriatic coastline with tours of S. Maria di Leuca and the Historic Centre of AlessanoThese are only but a few of the many activities expected in order that the students can get to know our territory and its uniqueness and peculiarities in the best way possible.

Cooking courses

The Bluesea School also organises courses in cooking the traditional Salento cuisine. This initiative has come about from the constant increase in demand from all the students who greatly appreciate the Flavours of Salento and who, generally, have fallen in love with the Italian cuisine. The cooking courses begin on the same dates as the start of the Italian language and culture courses with the only difference being that the lessons are held in the afternoon. They are conducted by export staff and can be held either in premises appropriately equipped by the Bluesea School or in other structures in Veglie such as (restaurants, pubs, pizzerias, etc.). At the end of the course the students are awarded with a certificate of attendance.

The Courses of Italian

Intensive Courses. Twenty lessons a week of fifty minutes per lesson from Monday to Friday, in classes of no more than ten students. The lessons are held in the morning. Levels: Beginner 1 (white) and 2 (yellow), intermediate 1 (orange) and 2 (red), advanced 1 (light blue) and 2 (dark blue). Times of Lessons: from 9.00am to 1.00pm.

Special Intensive courses ideal in preparing for the entrance tests to Italian Universities.
Thirty lessons a week of general Italian lasting fifty minutes per lesson from Monday to Friday, in classes of no more than ten students. The lessons are held in the morning. Times of lessons: from 9.00am to 3.00pm.

Who is the course intended for
The prospective students are made up of all those people, young and not so young, who have an interest in learning the Italian language:

• Young University students who are already studying the Italian language and culture in their own country and are interested in widening their knowledge;
• Managers and entrepreneurs who have need of the Italian language to succeed in their respective professional and commercial areas;
• Foreign teachers of the Italian language or philology who need to continue to increase their knowledge;
• Lovers of Italy.
